The KAUST Whale Shark Projects – Brown Bag lecture

Speakers: Prof. Michael Berumen, Associate Professor of Marine Science and Engineering and Dr. Jesse Cochran.

During this lecture, Professor Michael Berumen and Dr. Jesse Cochran will take you on an enlightening look at the fascinating world of whale sharks.

From Deep Brain Stimulation to Brain Computer Interfaces: Translational Research at Clinatec Institute – Keynote lecture

Speaker: Prof. Alim-Louis Benabid, Chairman of the Clinatec Institute, France.

“World famous neurosurgeon and winner of the Lasker and Breathrough Awards in 2014, Professor Alim Benabid, will reveal to us how he has developed his revolutionary techniques to offer relief to patients suffering from movement disorders and intractable pain. These techniques are at the interface of neurology, nanotechnologies and computer science. Profesor Benabid will guide us thorough a fascinating journey in the secrets of the brain”Dean Pierre Magistretti.

Enrichment in the Spring will run from Friday, March 20 to Saturday, March 28 and will feature three days of core events and one week of community events, with the main theme being the human brain and mind.
