On Saturday, March 23 from 8:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., KAUST is joining a global community of more than 150 countries to celebrate Earth Hour 2013. The event raises awareness about environmental issues affecting our planet, and is brought to the community by Facilities & Community.
Planned community activities include:
• Many community lights will be turned off for one hour starting at 8:30 p.m.
• Earth Hour movie clip will be shown at the KAUST cinema.
• The award-winning documentary film An Inconvenient Truth will be shown free to the community at 6:45 p.m. at Discovery Square.
Take part in the Earth Hour celebration by switching off unnecessary lights at your home for one hour starting at 8:30 p.m.
