It’s a fact, our multicultural KAUST community loves to travel and go places and spread the word about the science and unique environment we have here at KAUST. On campus, the Beacon is a landmark which symbolizes this global influence and stands for the ambition to carry KAUST research around the globe.
To celebrate the spirit of knowledge sharing, KAUST is organizing a photo contest.
Take a photograph of The Beacon magazine or a replica of the KAUST Beacon (it can be a picture, a drawing or a souvenir from Matjar) in a context special to you while you travel this June.
The photos that get the most likes and shares will be featured in the August issue of The Beacon magazine, on The Lens, on the KAUST website and on the KAUST official Instagram account! We’ll also be giving away prizes for the best rated photos.
How to enter the “Be a Beacon” photo competition:
STEP 1: Take a photo with The Beacon magazine or a Beacon replica at your next travel destination.
STEP 2: Post your Beacon holiday photo on your personal Instagram account using the hashtag #KAUSTBEACON. The submission deadline is July 1, 2018.
STEP 3: Follow the Beacon’s journey and other KAUST community Beacon adventures on travels around the world on Instagram.
