Vehicle Sticker Renewal

Security Services invites students, faculty, and staff to renew their vehicle stickers at the Vehicle Sticker Office located at the Visitor Center Gate #3 (CSD Gate). Renewal is based on the condition that the applicant possesses a new format KAUST ID (landscape format).

Anyone with an old ID format (vertical format) must first renew their ID at Security Headquarters, ground floor, in the ID Services office before proceeding to the Vehicle Sticker Office. Please be reminded that only security personnel are authorized to remove/replace vehicle stickers.

Sticker renewals should be completed before May 31, 2012. Any student, faculty, or staff member attempting to access KAUST with an old vehicle sticker after this date will not be allowed to proceed with their vehicle beyond the Main Gate Visitor Center until all relevant documents and forms (view online here) have been produced and processed by the Vehicle Sticker Office.

Please see the comments to this post for additional details and helpful tips.

For questions, please email IDSticker@kaust.edu.sa.

So there is no deadline for ID renewal? If you don’t have a car, you can carry the old ID?

Michelle D'Antoni May 6, 2012 - 4:53 pm

ID Services is planning to replace all KAUST photo IDs in parallel with the vehicle sticker renewal program. Individuals who do not own vehicles are still requested to renew their photo IDs before the May 31 deadline. Please look for an announcement about ID renewal from Security Services in the coming days.

A usful tip for those renewing their vehicle stickers is to know that they will ask you to hand in a photocopy of your:

– ID badge
– Driver’s Licence
– Car Registration
– Car insurance papers

If you do not have these spare copies to give them, you need to exit from the room, and stand in a queue at the Visitor’s Center to request them to do the copies for you. It will save time if you arrive with your completed form plus a spare photocopy of your supporting documents.
