Auditorium between Buildings 2 and 3

The conference brings together the leading experts in the field and provides an exceptional forum for top scientists to discuss high-impact research topics that are related to advanced materials science with particular emphasis on the potential engineering solutions for energy-intensive separations in the context of energy security and environmental sustainability.

The topics of the conference focus on recent developments pertaining to the use of membranes and porous materials in KAUST’s core research thrusts of Energy and Environment, whilst the sessions are organized around the following key themes:

  • Academic perspectives on addressing energy-intensive separations
  • Tools for advancing the discovery and deployment of separating agents
  • Global industrial needs in the context of petrochemical separations

The center director, Distinguished Professor Mohamed Eddaoudi, cordially invites you to join us to meet with scientists from around the world and participate in discussions that will inspire new ideas.

About AMPM Center

The AMPM center aims to develop cutting-edge porous materials, synthetic membranes, and process technologies. Our mission is to substantially reduce costs and mitigate the environmental damage associated with the separation, purification, and conversion of petroleum & industrial commodities, activities that currently consume 45-55% of global industrial energy.

We seek to achieve our mission by combining the expertise of both membranes and porous materials scientists and engineers, which makes us a unique center in the world.
