Island Recreation Club
We are very happy to announce the soft reopening of the Climbing Wall, in cooperation with the Saudi Climbing and Hiking Federation. Starting Monday, December 19, at 4:00 p.m., you will be able to flex your muscles, amp up your strength, or learn new climbing skills with our wall routes and multiple auto belays.
Age Group: 4 years+
Schedule
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays: 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Entry
- Booking is not required. First come, first served.
- It is mandatory for children aged 4 to 12 to be accompanied by an adult.
- All climbers are required to use the safety equipment.
- Free gear rental is available.
- Food, soft and hot drinks, strollers, skates or heeled shoes, and heavy equipment are not allowed. Learn more about the climbing wall rules and regulations.

KAUST Partnership with the Saudi Climbing and Hiking Federation
KAUST recently started a partnership with the Saudi Climbing and Hiking Federation (SCHF) to join efforts to promote and develop the sport of climbing on a national level. The SCHF is the national governing body of all aspects of rock climbing and hiking in Saudi Arabia. If you’d like to be a member or learn more about them, click here.
