About
Vision 2030 aims to leverage Saudi Arabia’s strengths and capabilities in a manner that the Kingdom emerges as a world leader in renewables. One of the principal areas of focus is the education and training of young scientists to meet the challenges of a changing world.

In line with this, the research groups of Prof. Derya Baran and Prof. Sahika Inal are arranging a 3-day workshop that will bring together leading scientists and industry partners, as well as young researchers from across the globe. This event will serve as an excellent platform to train young scientists on the cutting-edge research of carbon-based semiconductors, with a specific focus on key technologies, towards the development of solution-processable and printable electronics. The workshop’s content will cover five key topics within the field of organic semiconductors and flexible electronics.

Topics

  • Design and synthesis
  • Processing, doping and characterization
  • Theory and modeling
  • Device prototyping and upscaling
  • Flexible and printed electronics

The technical program will be held from Monday, October 10 to Wednesday, October 12, 2022. The workshop will also provide an opportunity for Ph.D. students and postdocs to develop their skills, through training sessions, as well as to present their research in Poster and PechaKucha presentations.
