We are delighted to invite you to join us for the first TKS “Help build our School Garden” event on Monday, September 26, from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Secondary School Campus.
We are extremely proud of the TKS students, who worked together with plant scientists from the Center for Desert Agriculture (CDA) and garden experts to design Saudi Arabia’s first edible school gardens, which are an integral part of the curriculum for the 2022-2023 school year.
We hope our community members will be part of our new school garden project, sow the seed and help grow our wonderful gardens. The GSS campus has over 50 garden beds, which will require lots of green fingers from our amazing KAUST community! If you have a genuine interest and are happy to roll up your sleeves to mix and add soil, prepare soil for planting, plant seeds, and create labels, then we want to hear from you!
Simply sign-up and submit the registration form by Thursday, September 22. (Due to limited spaces, all registrations are on a first-come-first-serve basis.)
Please bring:
- Garden gloves
- Willingness to work
- Reusable water bottle
- Wear work clothes
