Facilities Management will shortly commence the Structural Integrity Inspection and Removal Program starting from 24 July 2022, targeting the trellises present in Islands and Gardens residential units.
As part of this program, unsafe trellises will be removed, in order to protect all residents from the risk of falling down.
Residents will be contacted with an email to confirm the schedule of the work. All activities will be carried out without the need to enter your house. However, there will be a need to access your backyard and balconies from the outside. This work is key to ensuring the safety of our residents, and it is mandatory to proceed as scheduled. Delays could increase the risk of accidents.
Important notes:
It is worth reminding community residents that the trellises in our homes are designed as an ornamental element, with no consideration for bearing load or weight. They are not structural elements. Therefore, hanging items on them can cause extremely dangerous situations with the potential to harm residents.
