KAUST colleagues,

In line with our Email Migration Project, KAUST IT is now moving into Phase 2. We are excited to announce our launch of two very demanded updates to your email environment. These changes involve Calendar availability, now visible to all users of KAUST-provided email services, and the full KAUST Address Book, now available regardless of whether you are using the KAUST provided Gmail or Exchange platforms.

We are working through this current phase and will have new benefits and integrations coming soon!

Calendar improvements

Visible calendar availability — no more double or over-booked calendars:

  • Exchange Online (Outlook) users can view the calendar availability of Gmail users such as students, postdocs and faculty (using Gmail).
  • Gmail users can view the calendar availability of Exchange Online (Outlook) users.

Address Book improvements

Address Book availability — no more hunting for an email or losing time trying to find someone’s email address:

  • Gmail users can view all KAUST users in the Address Book.
  • The Address Book in Gmail will help users find Exchange Online users when composing new emails or scheduling.
  • The Address Book will have almost all the same details of users as they are available to Outlook users.
