Face coverings – reminder
Last week, KAUST moved back to Tier 0.5 in our phased approach to normal conditions.
During this Tier 0.5 period, the emphasis is on making informed decisions based on your circumstances. Please remember, as communicated last week that whilst face coverings are no longer required in outdoor areas, they are still required in indoor spaces, except when in an individual office area.
March 13 COVID-19 update
As of March 13, there were 3 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed at KAUST since the last bulletin on March 6.
In the last seven days, all cases have been found from symptomatic testing.
The 14-day positivity rate* at KAUST is currently 4.2% as of March 13, 2022.
* Positivity rate = % of positive tests returned from the total number of tests taken during a 14-day period. Excludes where the result is still pending or the swab was rejected.
** This rate will only be displayed if the number of tests conducted achieves a given significant threshold (724 tests). Over the past 14-day period, 654 tests were conducted, with 11 positive cases.
