Introduction to NMR Spectroscopy: Theory and Applications

KAUST Imaging and Characterization Core Lab presents:

Introduction to NMR Spectroscopy: Theory and Applications

March 23-29, 2022
3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
On Zoom

Due to popular demand, the KAUST Imaging and Characterization Core Lab (IAC) is pleased to announce its first-ever Arabic lecture series on nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. These lectures will take place from March 23 to the 29 (excluding the weekend).

This course aims to present the basic concepts of NMR spectroscopy, including data processing and data interpretation used to obtain useful structural information from NMR spectra. NMR concepts such as chemical shift, spin-spin coupling, relaxation and multi-dimensional NMR will be presented. The importance of sample preparation and the advantages, limitations and recent advances in NMR spectroscopy will also be discussed. The course will increase the awareness of the potential and applicability of NMR spectroscopy in participants’ research work.

The lectures are open to graduate students, faculty members, researchers and industry practitioners. Please register for the course online using the link below. You will receive a confirmation email with the webinar Zoom link after registration.

Additional detailed information about the course can be found here. For any questions, please contact nmr.staff@kaust.edu.sa.
