If you love film and want something that bridges the gap between the latest release and Netflix from your sofa, the Movie Hub might tick the box.
A KAUST Community Club, the Movie Hub is run by and open to KAUST community members aged 12 and over. Films are put on in Discovery Square Cinema on Tuesday and Friday evenings, and members are welcome to join in the discussion group afterward in Coffee Bean. The titles are chosen by Hub members, resulting in an eclectic range from mainstream to niche.
Membership fee
Screenings are for members only; the annual membership fee is payable at your first screening:
- SAR 100 for 18 and over
- SAR 50 for university students and under 18
Fees are used to cover incidental costs including purchasing films, covering visitor speaker costs, and subsidizing travel for any members’ trips.
Volunteers
The club is run by volunteers from The KAUST Community. If you have a spare evening you can help out, let the club know via email – kaustmovieclub@gmail.com
