Staycation anytime at KAUST

These regularly offered activities will make your staycation feel like a vacation:

Harbor Library

Harbor Library will be running special activities during spring break:

  •  Board games March 1 to 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Chess, dominos, number game, abalone, snakes, and ladders
  •  Lego time on Saturday, March 5, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
  • Arts and crafts on Tuesday, March 8, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Painting for kids on Wednesday, March 9, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Spring Camp for Grades 1 to 5

Spring Camp is provided to help every camper have a rewarding experience. Outdoor activities will be maximized with a great range of activities from crafts to sports.

The program is conducted by our friendly and experienced teams from The KAUST Children’s Center and Coastline Recreation, who are committed to making this springtime exciting and memorable. Learn more.

Building Blocks activities kids aged 1 to 6

Building Blocks daycare will offer a week full of activities for children aged 1 to 6 years old. Join us for exciting and fun spring activities including art and crafts, science experiments, camping, and many more.

Watersports on the canal

Wednesday, March 9
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. then 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Harbor Urban Beach

There’s nothing quite like being on the water in the iconic canal of KAUST. Stay active and experience the iconic views from the Harbor canal water while on a pedalo or kayak. This event is dedicated to the age group of 12 years old and above. The equipment hire will be available from Harbor Urban Beach with the last slots available from 3:30 p.m. Don’t miss out!

Sunset Dinner Cruise 

Thursday, March 10
5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

Enjoy the North African dinner buffet along with the spectacular sunset view on the Manta boat.

Egg hunt

Friday, March 11
4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Safaa Golf Club greens

Kids are welcome to participate in a fun egg hunt which will be held at the Safaa Golf Club. This event is for community members aged 3 to 10 years old. Kids will have an exciting time searching for hidden treasures in the driving range and the mini-golf course.

Sunrise half marathon

Saturday, March 12
6:30 a.m.
Al Marsa Ampitheater to the monument and back.

Put on your running shoes and enjoy the sunrise half marathon.

No registrations needed, just come along on the day!

  • Where: Meeting at Al Marsa Amphitheatre at 6:15 a.m.
  • When: March 12, 2022. The race starts at 6:30 a.m.
