The Art Club offers classes, workshops, and studios where members can learn new skills and work on their own projects.
Upcoming activities include classes in oil painting, watercolor painting, ceramics and kids’ art. Classes take place at the Art and Ceramics Studio in Island Recreation Club.
The following workshops are available starting in January 2023 after the winter break:
- Sunday Oil Painting Workshop: Learn classical oil painting techniques from an experienced art teacher. This oil painting workshop is offered at a beginner and intermediate level for adults and secondary school students with some or no painting experience. Learn more and register here:

- Monday Watercolor Painting Workshop: You will be taught about the watercolor palette, different techniques of how to use watercolor paints, and how to paint scenes of landscapes, seascapes, and buildings. This workshop is open to beginner and intermediate artists. Learn more and register here:

- Tuesday Ceramics Workshop and Registration: You will create your own hand-built and wheel-thrown pots inspired by your own imagination. This workshop is for beginner adults only. Learn more and register here:

- Saturday Kids’ Art workshops: These classes are for K1 – G5 kids. We are using a different system now. The classes are now in 2 differentiated age groups: K1-G1 will be from 9-10 am and G2-G5 will be from 10-11 am. Learn more register here:
