The first Parade of Nations in 3 years is finally here! Wear your country colors or cultural dress or, if you prefer, your usual day clothes and join us today at 5:00 p.m. at Discovery Square.
From there, we will walk together to the Circle of Nations, which will be located at the International Arboretum.
Bring your reusable water bottle. Water stations will be provided.
Check the event details including the community performances:
- 5:00 p.m. – Meet at Discovery Square and rally around your country’s flag
- 5:15 p.m. – Parade to the International Arboretum, led by the All-Star Marching Band
- 5:45 p.m. – Picnic, enjoy the music by Ministry of Disc Jockeys, and visit the 77 nations represented by community volunteers in the Circle of Nations
- 6:10 p.m. – Saudi National Anthem and official opening of the event
- 6:15 p.m. – President Tony F. Chan opening remarks and arboretum dedication
- 6:20 p.m. – Cultural performances
- 6:30 p.m. – Prayer time
- 6:50 p.m. – School performance and cultural performances
- 8:00 p.m. – Prayer time
- 8:20 p.m. – Cultural performances
- 9:00 p.m. – Thursday Night Live! In partnership with Graduate Events & Recreation, “Rock in the Park” with BLZ (Best Live Zone) band and local DJ Mhonzkie. Don’t miss the Rock Star fun photo booth and the tombola with some unique TNL prizes!
Getting there:
There will be no parking at the International Arboretum. The nearest car park will be at the Island Recreation Club. We recommend you leave your car or bike at the Discovery Square parking lot and join the parade with us.
Buses will run every 30 minutes throughout the evening from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. from the International Arboretum to the following locations:
- Tamimi Main Supermarket
- Palms
- Racquet Club
- Al Marsa
- Discovery Square
- Oasis
