Recent COVID-19 developments
KAUST is aware of developments with a new variant of COVID-19, Omicron. Saudi Arabia is among the countries that have temporarily suspended flights from some countries, and KAUST continues to monitor the situation. We encourage individuals to monitor developments before travel, and to liaise with your airlines/travel providers for specific requirements or restrictions.
Please continue to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions. If you or anyone from your household displays COVID-19 symptoms, isolate at home and contact KAUST Health on 012 808 0940 for next steps and testing requirements.

As of November 28, there were no new cases of COVID-19 confirmed at KAUST in the last seven days.

The 14-day positivity rate* at KAUST is currently unavailable** as of Nov 28, 2021.
We remind all community members that we are currently operating in Keeping KAUST Safe Tier 0.5. If you have symptoms, please stay home and call KAUST Health at 012 808 0940.
* Positivity rate = % of positive tests returned from the total number of tests taken during a 14-day period.
Excludes where the result is still pending or the swab was rejected.
** This rate will only be displayed if the number of tests conducted achieves a given significant threshold (724 tests). Over the past 14-day period, 60 tests were conducted, with 0 positive cases.
