This weekend, Saudi Arabia will host its first-ever Formula 1 Grand Prix on the Jeddah corniche. Community Life will be offering a bus service to the event, and there are several other off-campus bus service adjustments which the community should expect.
In summary:
- Roads in Jeddah, especially near the Corniche, are expected to have detours and congestion. Please plan accordingly
- Bus transportation to the race will be provided : booking is essential
- Jeddah shopping busses will be canceled, but other buses will continue as normal

Impacts to regular off-campus buses
Due to the impacts of the event, the regularly scheduled shopping buses will be canceled from December 3 to December 5. However, the work haul and medical buses will continue running as per the normal schedule.
Buses for F1 Grand Prix Ticketholders
Buses will be provided for event ticket holders only and tickets must be purchased separately directly from the event organizers. Please book your space in advance to guarantee a spot.

December 3:
- A total of three buses will be dropping people at the 3 event bus drop-off zones
- Bus departure from KAUST: 1:00 p.m.
- Bus departure from F1 site: 11:30 p.m.
December 4:
- A total of three buses will be dropping people at the 3 event bus drop-off zones
- Bus departure from KAUST: 1:00 p.m.
- Bus departure from F1 site: 11:30 p.m.
December 5
- A total of six buses will be dropping people at the 3 event bus drop-off zones
- Trip 1: Bus departure from KAUST: 1:00 p.m. Bus departure from F1 site: 11:30 p.m.
- Trip 2: Bus departure from KAUST 5:30 p.m. Bus departure from F1 site 1:00 a.m.

Bus fares
The round-trip price for passengers will be SAR 50 per person. The price for university students and children aged 6-18 will be SAR 25. Children under the age of 6 will be free. Please keep the receipt to guarantee a seat upon returning to KAUST.
