Equipment and materials

You will need to bring the following to the workshops.

  • Either, an ipad with Procreate installed. The software Procreate for digital drawing costs 10 USD and is found in the appstore, plus an Apple pencil would be required to use the software to its full extent, which could cost approximately 90 USD.
  • Alternatively, a laptop with a compatible drawing tablet and stylus, alongside the software “clipstudio” or equivalent (PaintTool SAI or other) is also appropriate. The software “clipstudio paint pro” costs 50 USD and can be obtained from clipstudio’s official website.
  • For laptop users without a drawing tablet, a small Wacom tablet and pen are most recommended as they have all basic functions as any other tablet, and costs approximately 70 USD (can be obtained in Jarir as well for the price of 495 SAR, though alternatively it can be purchased through Amazon or Noon).
  • The Art Club will supply paper for printing.
  • If you have any questions about equipment please email Mauricio: mauricio.aguilaraguilaisaias@kaust.edu.sa
