KAUST remains a safe place to study, work and live. However, we have again suffered a number of burglaries over the recent holiday period and people have lost both money and jewellery – including possessions of important personal value. These cases are currently under investigation.

 Everyone living in KAUST can help protect the community by safeguarding their homes and belongings:

  • Please contact 959 if your windows and door locks are not functioning properly and need to be repaired.
  • We encourage you to report any suspicious activity, no matter how trivial.
  • Prompt and detailed reporting can help prevent crimes.
  • If you witness anything suspicious, trust your instincts and call 012 808 0911 from a mobile phone or 911 from a landline – Don’t hesitate!
