KAUST Health, Government Affairs and the Ministry of Health are pleased to announce that you can now book for your COVID-19 vaccination here at KAUST. Please read the information below carefully.

Important to know:

  • Vaccination schedule:
    • AstraZeneca: July 26 – July 29 (5:00 p.m. – 8.30 p.m.)
    • Pfizer: TBC shortly for availability at the beginning of August
  • Location: KAUST Health – main clinic entrance
  • Booking: You must book a slot on the KAUST booking system – see instructions below. 
    PLEASE NOTE that bookings are only available for AstraZeneca vaccine this week.
  • Eligibility:
  • Both vaccines are available to all Saudi Nationals and permanent KSA residents aged 18 and over living or in KAUST (employees who live outside of KAUST are also eligible).
  • The Pfizer vaccine is also available to anyone aged 12 to 17 years old.
  • Anyone who has had a positive COVID-19 result within the previous 6 months is not eligible for a vaccine until 6 months have passed
  • At least 42 days from your first dose must have passed before you are able to receive your second dose of either vaccine.
  •  Exclusions: This booking window excludes all service providers, visitors and individuals yet to receive their Iqama’s.
  • Anyone receiving the vaccine will have their details uploaded into the national vaccine register which will be reflected in Sehhaty a few days after the appointment. There is no need to make a booking on Sehhaty.

How to book your vaccination:

  • Logon to the KAUST Booking System
  • Choose a convenient date and time for your chosen vaccine: please make sure to book the right time slot for the vaccine you wish to take
  • Sponsors should be able to book for all age eligible dependents
  • You will receive an email confirmation and a QR code for this appointment
  • Bookings are essential – no walk-ins will be accepted

Important information about your appointment:

  • Come to your appointment on time: this is important to manage the flow of people and ensure waiting times are minimized
  • Bring your Iqama or Saudi National ID for registration
  • Bring your QR code for registration
  • The vaccine will be administered in your arm, so please wear loose clothes so that you can easily roll up your sleeve
  • Wear a face covering to your appointment and maintain physical distance while waiting
  • If you require assistance, you may have one companion with you and, if possible, avoid bringing young children to the clinic

COVID-19 precautions: during the appointment all COVID-19 mitigation measures are in place in accordance with the Keeping KAUST Safe guidelines.
