Thank you all for helping make the Robotics Short Story Competition a success. We received more than a hundred stories written by kindergarten to senior level writers. We even had a story written by a robot itself!

Hundreds of people cast a vote on the CEMSE Facebook page and on shared pages to promote their favorite story.

Special congratulations to:

  • Graciella Versoza – Till the End of Time
  • Aikaterini V. Bougiatioti – Little Robbie
  • Andrew Wright – A.I. Trolley Report

Their stories received more than 300 votes and were shared dozens of times by the KAUST community and beyond.

The three winners will receive a rotating MOVA globe, and their stories will be featured in an ad hoc animated video and shared on the CEMSE Division YouTube channel.

So stay tuned because the rest of the stories will be posted on the CEMSE Facebook page over the Eid period and gathered in a story collection book ready after the summer vacations.

The Robotics story competition was brought to you by Professor Eric Feron and the RISC Laboratory team. The competition is a spin-off activity of the Robotics & Autonomy Conference #ROBOTOKAUST21.
