The Clean Combustion Research Center invites you to attend the 2021 hybrid conference on ‘Near zero-carbon combustion technology’. We encourage you to register and attend any of the sessions over the three days.

June 21: Day one

Efficient power generation with integrated carbon capture: this topic encompasses talks and discussions on innovative power cycles, including supercritical CO2, coupled with cost effective strategies for carbon capture for carbon neutral power generation and transportation sector. Speakers will discuss the major challenges, opportunities and future research needs.

June 22: Day two

Combustion of carbon-free fuels for power generation and transportation: this topic will focus on the use of carbon free fuels, for power generation, transportation and domestic uses. Fuels such as ammonia and hydrogen hold the promise of combustion free of greenhouse emissions. Experts from industry and academia will discuss key challenges in the production, delivery and combustion of these carbon free fuels, and propose strategies to overcome existing barriers to the development of a hydrogen economy.

June 23: Day three

Low carbon thermal energy for industrial applications: this topic will focus on the development of low carbon thermal energy for use in the production of cement, iron/steel and alumina. Speakers will discuss the viability and options of decarbonization through electrification, renewable thermal energy, energy storage and renewable fuels internationally and in KSA.
