KAUST Zoom recording update

Dear community,

IT would like to remind the Community that, effective June 1, 2021, new changes have taken effect to our Zoom recording and storage policy.

What’s happening?

All Zoom Cloud recordings will be reconfigured to automatically delete after 90 days. For any recordings prior to June 1, they will be stored for 90 days from that date.

What does this mean?

  • After your recording, you will be notified that your recording is available on Zoom for 90 days
  • You will receive a reminder email once a recording is moved to the trash
  • Once moved, you will have seven calendar days to restore from trash

What do I do if I still want my recordings?

You can do one of the following:

  • Set-up a local recording at the time of your webinar/meeting
  • Download the recordings to your machine’s local hard drive
  • Upload the recordings to your KAUST provided OneDrive or SharePoint site
