Dear KAUST community,

Government Affairs wishes you Ramadan Kareem.

The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs has announced that the first Taraweeh prayers will be performed on Monday, April 12.

In line with this decision, Ishaa and Taraweeh (special night prayers) will be performed in King Abdullah Mosque at KAUST.

Both male and female prayer areas will be available for the KAUST community.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, children under 15 will not be allowed in the mosque and food will not be allowed or served.

Other KAUST mosques are open for all prayers except Ishaa and Taraweeh.

  • The Ishaa and Taraweeh prayers will be 30 min
  • The time between Maghrib and Ishaa will be 1.5 hour

Worshippers are requested to follow strict Keeping KAUST Safe guidelines, physical distancing directives, wear a face covering and bring personal prayer mats.

Regards,

Sulaiman Al-Thunayan
