Government Affairs is pleased to inform all KAUST community members that the General Department of Traffic has updated their rules for replacing the female driving licenses for both students and dependents with valid foreign driving licenses.
Please be aware that due to the current COVID-19 situation, appointment slots are limited and it may be difficult to find an appointment easily. However, more appointments should be made available in the future.
Absher registration is now available for female dependents wishing to apply for their driving license.
- Create an account in Absher portal
- Activate the account at the Absher kiosk located in the GA center on the Spine (24/7) or via your online bank account
For new applicants or if you hold an expired driving license, you will need to apply through the Jeddah Advanced Driving School or any other driving school in the Kingdom. It is required that you take classes before obtaining the Saudi driving license.
