Dear colleagues,

Following the overwhelming popularity of the Coursera courses offered to students and staff last year in light of the pandemic, we are pleased to announce that we will continue to offer free courses for the remainder of 2021 and beyond.

Last year, the Coursera for Campus trial yielded more than 2,800 completed courses by members of the KAUST academic and administrative community. This inspiring turnout led us to pursue a long-term agreement with Coursera.

Users will have access to a catalog of more than 6,000 high-quality online courses from over 200 universities and companies, including Stanford, Princeton, Duke, Imperial, IBM and Google. Course topics are wide ranging, and cover science, technology, engineering, mathematics, business, personal development and more.

This effort is now jointly sponsored by Academic Affairs, Strategic National Advancement and Human Resources in keeping with our shared commitment to lifelong learning and development.

These digital learning offerings form an important part of our ongoing learning and development strategy for KAUST, offering top resources from around the world in addition to instructor-led programs and so creating a wide arena of learning and development opportunities to support people’s development.

Coursera for Campus will be launched soon, so please look out for your personal invitation and platform access in the near future. We encourage you to take full advantage of these offerings as we continue to grow the skillsets and intellectual capacity of our unique global community.
