The University Badminton Championship, one of the highlights of the University’s sporting calendar, culminated on Saturday, October 23 at the TKS Gymnasium. The event was held for the first time in two years due to the pandemic. With over 180 participants, consisting of graduate students and other community members, the competition had the highest turnout since it started in 2012.
The event was opened by President Tony Chan who gave some very inspiring remarks and played an exhibition game with some of the graduate student participants.
The event was organized by the University Badminton Association, a graduate student-led group, and was sponsored by Graduate Events and Recreation, Graduate Affairs, with the support by the operations team at TKS.
After two days of some very exciting and skillful badminton the results of the competition were as follows:
