Due to popular demand, Watersports on the Canal is back!
There’s nothing quite like being on the water in the iconic canal of KAUST. Come and enjoy the water and the view by renting out pedalos or kayaks on the canal on Saturday, January 30. There will also be an ice cream van on site to make sure you stay refreshed for your fun on the water.
Available for hire
- Double Kayaks 30 minutes – 35 SAR
- Pedalos 30 minutes – 25 SAR

- Time: 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Location: You can find us at the canal on the opposite side from the King Abdullah Grand Mosque. Here’s a map:
Your safety is our priority
Life jackets will be provided. However, for hygiene reasons your own t-shirt or rash vest must be worn underneath. Please remember to adhere to Keeping KAUST Safe guidelines.
