The newest children’s playground at KAUST is now open!
Gardens Playground is designed to provide a safe and engaging place for kids to learn, play, socialize, and explore. The blue rubber flooring, representing water, extends the play experience and makes the playground safe and accessible. This playground has been conceived based on community feedback and provides four play towers, several bridges, slides, swings, springers, and more! It includes creative, high-quality play equipment completing the child’s playground story. Gardens Playground is an inclusive playground for both younger and older children, built to develop their physical, socio-emotional, cognitive, and creative abilities.
The playground also features shaded areas to protect your little ones on sunny days, and lighting so the fun can continue even after the sun goes down.
Location
The new playground is located in the Gardens Neighborhood, between the Gardens Mosque and the Racquet Club. Here’s a map.

What’s next?
As announced previously, one brand new playground has already opened in September and one more new playground near Island Daycare is coming to KAUST in Spring 2021.
