On November 19—and in competition with four other multinational organizations and cities—KAUST won the “Collaboration in Resilience” Global Award. Presented by the Business Continuity Institute (BCI), the most widely recognized network of resilience and continuity professionals worldwide.

This award is specifically for organizations who have achieved a high level of resilience through effective collaboration of complementary disciplines. The KAUST submission included a number of examples of departments working together to prepare, respond to, and recover from disruptive incidents — and in particular, focused on the collective efforts towards combating the impact of COVID-19.

KAUST is very proud to be recognized through this prestigious global award. Many thanks to our Business Continuity Team within the Office of Risk Management — Hussain Aldawood, Wayne Aughton and Paul Buchanan for their great efforts on behalf of the University that resulted in KAUST being acknowledged in this way.
