COVID-19 Screening Program
As announced last Friday, KAUST is hosting a COVID-19 Screening Program, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, running from November 1-5. KAUST has increased its testing capacity to enable testing of the entire community allowing us to further mitigate COVID-19 as KAUST and Saudi Arabia continue opening and expanding services.
Participation in the COVID-19 Screening Program is mandatory for all KAUST employees and students over age 16. All other KAUST community members are also strongly encouraged to participate to limit the spread and understand the current prevalence in our community.
Testing via RT-PCR is free of charge and samples will be taken via throat swab at KAUST Inn 1. Do your part by booking the day and time for testing that is convenient for you and your family members.Testing will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on each of the five days of testing.

Effective, today, the COVID-19 update will be published each Sunday. This is to keep a seven-day period in between updates to match the information depicted on the dashboard.
One positive case of COVID-19 has been identified at KAUST in the last 6 days. The individual was a family member of existing positive cases, and was already in quarantine with no additional direct contacts. One employee tested positive in Jeddah, placing five non-resident employees and one resident employee in quarantine, as they were direct contacts.
We’d like to thank all community members for practicing physical distancing, the wearing of face coverings, hand washing and adherence to the Keeping KAUST Safe guidelines.
If you have symptoms, please stay home and call KAUST Health at 012 808 0940.Failure to observe the Keeping KAUST Safe guidelines, quarantine requirements and other pandemic-related regulations will be considered as a violation of the Code of Conduct and could be subject to sanctions.
