You are invited to attend as KAUST President Tony Chan joins Eng Chye Tan and Da Hsuan Feng for a discussion named, ‘Between East and West: Models of Asian Upstart Universities.’
The panelists will engage in a discussion on the challenges faced, and opportunities taken, to lead their institutions in the increasingly convoluted and complex world of the 21st century. And the panelists will share their views, engage in a moderated discussion, and answer questions from the virtual audience.

Collectively, they have personal and administrative experience in both the Western and Asian higher education ecosystems, including the U.S., Singapore, Hong Kong, the Middle East, and beyond. And they have led institutions in Asia that have risen rapidly within a short time to a global standing comparable with the best in the world. This vantage point gives them a special perspective on the changing global higher education landscape.
