2020 has been a challenging time, and we want to remind the community that now it is just as important, if not more important, that we monitor our own individual health and wellbeing.

Breast cancer remains the most common cancer found in women worldwide. During the month of October, organizations around the globe unite for a common cause, breast cancer awareness. Early detection is key to increasing survival rates.  To support early detection, KAUST Health is providing free screenings to qualifying community members this October.

Who should be screened?

KAUST Health recommends that the following people be screened annually:

  • All women aged forty and over
  • Anyone with a family history of a sibling or mother who has had breast cancer

Free screenings for qualifying community members

For the month of October, KAUST Health is waiving the 26 SAR administration fee for KAUST-insured community members who meet the above screening criteria.

Those who do not qualify for free screenings are also encouraged to participate in the screening program, but co-payments and consultation fees may apply, based on your insurance coverage.
