KAUST cases

One new case of COVID-19 has been identified at KAUST, bringing the total number of cases to 33. The case was identifed through contact tracing linked to a previous case. Contact tracing is in the process of being completed and all direct contacts will be quarantined.

We are keeping in touch with all of our active cases and monitoring their progress. We wish each of these community members well.

Iqama and exit/re-entry visa extensions

The Department of Government Affairs has worked closely with the Saudi government to automatically renew expired iqamas and exit/re-entry visas for KAUST community members, their family members and dependents who are currently out of the Kingdom.

The service, which starts this week, is free of charge and does not require action by individuals.
The following has been arranged: 

  • Three-month extension of expired iqamas 
  • Three-month extension of expired exit/re-entry visas

Please note: The extension is only available for iqamas and exit/re-entry visas that have expired between March 6, 2020 and July 31, 2020.

Professor Hernando Ombao aims to give public health officials and hospital administrators an accurate set of scenarios, from the optimistic to the pessimistic, they can use for preparedness.
