KAUST cases

We are keeping in touch with all of our active cases and monitoring their progress. We wish each of these community members well.

Day Care reopens

Effective Monday, July 20, the Day Care service will resume its activities. Interested parents should contact building.blocks.kaust@gmail.com and/or daycare@kaust.edu.sa to enquire about the services offered and how to make a booking.

Families who are subject to restricted activities or quarantine are not able to enroll children in day care.

This is why you should follow the guidelines

Here is a true but powerful study that explains the importance of following the Keeping KAUST Safe guidelines.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention studied a beauty salon where two stylists had active COVID-19 infections but none of the 139 clients they served became infected. The stylists and clients wore face coverings, which the CDC feels was a contributing factor in preventing the spread of disease.

You read about the Keeping KAUST Safe guidelines on a regular basis, but this example shows why adhering to these guidelines will prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Read more about the study here.

Once again, we’d like to thank you for your cooperation and ongoing adherence to directives. These have been designed to keep you safe and to help manage the crisis.
