How does contact tracing work—update
Following the July 9 announcement, we would like to specify to community members that when a positive case is confirmed at KAUST, a process of contact tracing starts to identify contacts of the confirmed individual. If someone is identified as a contact, then they may be asked to enter quarantine.
It’s everyone’s responsibility to avoid gatherings, to wear a face covering and to maintain physical distancing. These measures will greatly reduce the risk of being a close contact. Help in Keeping KAUST Safe.

Tamimi online ordering service
Tamimi online ordering service is now available for use by all KAUST community members. The service has completed over 800 online orders a month for quarantine and self-isolation households during the last three months.
The online payment works smoothly and the website is matched to the current stock. When items show in the online store, they will be available 99% of the time.
To use the service:
- Visit the Tamimi Markets website
- Create a login
- Select the “KAUST Residents Only” store, and start shopping
- Upon checkout, select “Click and Collect” and enter your address in the remarks box
- When your order is ready, Tamimi will call you to check you are available to receive it
