The total number of cases of COVID-19 identified at KAUST remains at 28.
We are keeping in touch with all of our active cases and monitoring their progress. We wish each of these community members well.
The last positive case was 10 days ago.
Starting today—Gradually moving to a ‘new normal’
On Sunday, July 5, we enter the next phase of the KAUST reopening plan, which will be achieved through a gradual transition to normality. The full details about the changes effective today were shared last Thursday. Please refer to the July 2 COVID-19 Advisory and campus news. We would like to reiterate that it is the responsibility of each community member to help protect each other. Individual adherence to the Keep KAUST Safe guidelines significantly reduces the risk.
University Library partial reopening
Effective July 5, 2020 the University Library will partially reopen. Access to the Library will be limited to KAUST graduate students, post-docs and faculty members from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday to Thursday.
During this phase, 88 seats will be provided for quiet study. Library visitors need to register their preferred seat in advance and check-in at the entrance through the face recognition kiosk.
Group discussions, meetings and gatherings will not be allowed and meeting rooms, group study rooms, and social locations will remain closed. The entrance to the Library will be controlled via Level two from the Campus Spine and access via Level zero will be closed.
Please also note that the print and stationery store is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday to Thursday and accessible through the Level zero entrance close to the Campus Diner.
