KAUST cases
The total number of cases of COVID-19 identified at KAUST remains at 16. All of the positive cases have been discharged upon completion of the MOH testing requirements. The last positive case was 21 days ago.
Change in Samba and SABB banks operating hours
Due to the recent instructions re-imposing strict precautions in Jeddah, Samba and SABB banks have informed us that their operating hours have changed, effective today and for the next two weeks. Both banks operate from Sunday through Thursday.
- Samba – 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- SABB – 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
It is important to abide by all physical distancing directives and to wear a face covering at all times upon visiting both branches. Please refer to the Keep KAUST Safe guidelines for additional precautions.
Tamimi volunteer sign up
Do you have a few hours to spare? Sign up and volunteer at Tamimi stores! You can still sign up quickly and easily here.
All volunteers will undertake training that is appropriate to the roles assigned. If you are well and able to do so safely, please sign up. A member of the Operations Hub will then be in touch.

KAUST COVID-19 Crisis Center (KC3)
Myth. Air purifiers are effective in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
Fact. Air purifiers are not effective at capturing respiratory droplets (the main transmission source of COVID-19) unless a person is standing next to the air inlet of the purifier when sneezing or coughing.
