KAUST cases

The total number of cases of COVID-19 identified at KAUST remains at 16. All of the positive cases have been discharged upon completion of the MOH testing requirements. The last positive case was 14 days ago.

Eat-in/out options

We are happy to confirm that all takeaway restaurants currently operating are now offering limited indoor seating. Takeaway meals can also be enjoyed in the outdoor seating areas in Discovery Square and Harbor Walk.

Whether you prefer to enjoy your meal inside or outside, the Keep KAUST Safe guidelines regarding physical distancing must be observed at all times. Our table service restaurants will start welcoming the community back to eat on site (indoor/outdoor) in the coming days. Check the website to see when on site dining reopens. You may need to check menus using HungryCampus or using a QR code on your phone.

Capacity is limited. If your preferred restaurant is busy, please be patient and try another restaurant or return at another time.

Solidarity through volunteering

In the coming weeks we will be sharing a series of original testimonies from community members who have given their time to volunteer at different levels during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Today, we feature François de Ryckel, a member of the KAUST Volunteer Fire Department. Read François’s story on The LENS.

Once again, we’d like to thank you for your cooperation and ongoing adherence to directives. These have been designed to keep you safe and to help manage the crisis.
