Facilities and services operating hours during Eid al-Fitr

Eid al-Fitr is expected to commence May 24. During the Eid week, Community Life facilities and services will operate on a slightly amended schedule.

Please take a moment to review the facilities and services page for accurate and updated information.

Paid housekeeping services resume

Facilities Management is pleased to announce that paid housekeeping services will resume effective Sunday, May 24. Bookings can be made through 012 808 5052.

Housekeepers will be available seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (last appointment at 5:00 p.m.)

As we expect high demand for this service, and to be fair to all residents, we will limit the service to one booking per household, every two weeks and to two housekeepers for one hour until further notice.

In order to ensure the safety of both the community and housekeepers, additional measures and restrictions have been put in place.

Vulnerable community members—HR update

People who are part of the vulnerable age group—including those with underlying medical conditions, age 65 and over (previously 55 and over) and pregnant and nursing mothers—are encouraged to continue self-isolation.

Contact us at HRHelpdesk@kaust.edu.sa if you have questions about remote working during this time.

Once again, we’d like to thank you for your cooperation and ongoing adherence to directives. These have been designed to keep you safe and to help manage the crisis.

Can I use a Tamimi cart to carry my groceries home?

Tamimi carts or trolleys must be returned to the front of the store after use. This helps the volunteers sanitize them faster and ensures there are enough trolleys for everyone. Remember that you can always ask for home delivery.

  1. Hi,

I have a question regarding the resumption of housekeeping services. Keeping in mind the Covid-19 situation, is it not a safety concern to allow housekeeping staff to enter different houses across the University on a daily basis? The concern goes for both housekeeping staff and residents.
