Research into fundamental and applied forms of artificial intelligence (AI) is fast becoming a priority for global institutions. As a leader in high performance computing (HPC) and academic research, KAUST will host a joint workshop in partnership with the Department of Industrial Engineering at Tsinghua University (China) on November 24-26, 2019.
The workshop will explore evolving areas of research in AI, including a variety of scientific and commercial applications; improving AI performance; improving rigor in AI research; and the use of AI to improve the performance of algorithms on supercomputers.
The workshop will showcase eight KAUST researchers, as well as experts from Tsinghua University and industrial leaders representing Microsoft Research and Baidu Research.
Scientists, engineers and students from all scientific backgrounds are encouraged to join to survey recent developments and current trends in big data analytics and machine learning and AI generally.
