The Office of the Arts is proud to invite the whole community to the Fall KAUST Ensembles Concert. Over 90 musicians from our community will offer their talents for a special night of music on Monday, October 21 in the Auditorium (bldg. 20).

The show will take the audience through an eclectic journey starting with the Angklung Ensemble performing a world première of Sunshine, a piece written by KAUST master’s candidate, Mohammed AlDajani, and A Whole New World by Alan Menken.

The Chorus will follow with Route 66, a popular rhythm and blues standard by Bobbie Troup, plus I Will Sing You the Stars by Mark Burrows, and a famous duet, Libiamo ne’ lieti calici, from the opera, “La Traviata,” by Giuseppe Verdi.

Five members of the Movement SDG will join the KAUST Orchestra on stage to present an interpretive dance, choreographed by Cheryl Obal, set to a river-themed piece of music – The Moldau – by Bedrich Smetana.

A grand finale will close the concert featuring the Chorus and the Orchestra for a colorful Beatles Medley.
