The KAUST community is invited to attend the 2019 spring semester “Musical Celebrations” concert produced by the Office of the Arts. Many musicians from our community will perform in small ensembles and solos.
Special features include the Angklung Ensemble performing an Indonesian folk song, Keroncong Kemayoran. The KAUST Arabic Ensemble will play Tunisian composer Anouar Brahem’s Itr al-Ghajar. Other pieces include an aria from the opera Romeo and Juliette by Charles Gounod, a flute, oboe, and viola trio by Wilhelm Friedrich Ernst Bach, and a piano solo by Edvard Grieg. School-age children are encouraged to attend this concert with their parents. The lobby will be designated as a Family Seating area where children under age six can sit with their parents and enjoy a live feed of the performance.
