Safaa Oasis Community Garden Open Day

Dear Community members,

Green fingers or not, we all love to eat fresh veggies, get our hands dirty and take part in an exciting learning experience. The KAUST Gardening Club celebrates the Safaa Oasis Community Garden Open Day on January 26 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

On this occasion we invite the KAUST community along to the garden for a ribbon cutting ceremony, which will be followed by a tour or the Community Garden. A fun planting activity will be the highlight of the afternoon where everyone is invited to take a shovel and help plant about fifty types of native plants to make the garden greener.

We will also discuss growing your own food, explaining the basic principles of composting, discuss upcoming workshops, how to become a member and how you can get involved with stewarding your own garden bed to learn and grow with us; together.

There will be healthy snacks and beverages and don’t forget to bring your reusable water bottle.

The Safaa Oasis Community garden is located behind the Oasis apartments (see map).
