Today, WEP 2019 kicks off with a new opening keynote lecture: “Time of Your Life: You Are What You Eat (and When!)” by Paolo Sassone-Corsi, director of the Center for Epigenetics and Metabolism, University of California, Irvine. A welcoming address by Prof. Yves Gnanou, VP for Academic Affairs and Interim VP for Research, followed by opening remarks by Professor Valerio Orlando, BESE, Head of Environmental Epigenetics Program, WEP Chair will kick off the evening.
After the opening keynote, take a walk to Discovery Square which is transformed into the vibrant atmosphere of “Times Square,” where, for two weeks, you will enjoy the WEP evening experience with storytelling sessions, board games, a photo booth, sidewalk performers, the farmers market, food bites and more. Join us this evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on the occasion of the opening night and cocktail reception.
At 6:30 p.m. it’s time to get overwhelmed by “The Night of AdEaters” ®, a tide of commercials from the most remote corners of the planet; deliriously creative, aesthetic, exotic, moving, sometimes very kitsch and especially funny! This unique carefully curated selection of commercials in connection to this year’s WEP theme “TIME” will take you throughout a unique journey along the cycle of life.
