Participate in the seventh annual Back to School Campaign, supporting schoolchildren in Thuwal and Qadimah!
This year, our goal is to serve 800 young students. With your support, we provide essential school supplies to primary and secondary school students to help them start the year off right.
New for 2018, we are providing a sports uniform, further promoting KAUST values of lifelong health, fitness and wellbeing, and supporting local schools as they increase their sports offerings.
Get involved
In-kind Support: Visit Tamimi Supermarket and purchase designated school supplies near the cashier stations. Deposit items in the Campaign boxes at the front of the store.
Volunteer: Register to to join campaign activities, including:
- Publicizing the effort;
- Assembling school kits;
- Distributing school kits in person at Thuwal and Qadimah schools
The Back to School Campaign is part of the Social Responsibility Young Learners Development Program (YLDP) and represents one of the many ways in which KAUST is giving back to its neighbors. YLDP aims to improve learning environments and educational outcomes for students by working with our local community partners to ensure needs are being met for maximum impact in the classroom and beyond. KAUST Social Responsibility is a department of Saudi Affairs.
