Improve your ability to respond to emergencies by attending first aid training. This 3-hour workshop is ideal for anyone who wants to learn basic first aid to help adults and children during emergency situations. Participants will learn to recognize life-threatening situations and be able to offer vital assistance until emergency services arrive.
Topics include:
- Responsibilities of the first-aider
- Assessing an incident
- Wounds and bleeding
- Shock
- Seizures
- Dealing with minor injuries
- Broken bones
- and more
Please note that this course aims to improve capacity for first aid in the community. CPR and defibrillation are not included and no certificates or official first-aider status will be granted as a result of your attendance in this course. For more advanced courses, please consult the Health, Safety and Environment training courses.
