Register for the KAUST Research Conference: New Challenges in Heterogeneous Catalysis

KAUST Research Conference: New Challenges in Heterogeneous Catalysis
January 29 to 31, 2018
Auditorium between Ibn Al Haytham and Ibn Sina (Buildings 2&3)

To register for the KAUST Conference please click here.

Catalysis is of all times, it was at the origin of the agricultural revolution through the synthesis of ammonia, over the past century has been instrumental and, under strong societal drive for sustainability, will be equally instrumental in the future.  Not surprisingly, catalysis is one of the pillars of KAUST, of the utmost importance to ensure advancements in its four thrusts: energy, environment, food and water.

The objective of the conference is to inspire future heterogeneous catalysis research by bringing together experts in the field from different age groups. We are looking for a vivid discussion on the main challenges ahead. These involve not only the design of new processes but also the development of new chemistry and catalytic materials and the understanding of catalytic processes at a higher level. The focus of the conference will be on the activation of small molecules, specially methane and carbon dioxide.

A poster session on Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 will provide an opportunity for researchers and students to present their work to the KAUST Community.
