Muslim Business Visitors During Hajj Season

Nearly three million pilgrims travel to Makkah for Hajj every year. The Saudi government goes through an extensive preparation program for participating pilgrims. Part of the preparation program is to regulate the incoming flow of pilgrims by both air and sea.

The Saudi Aviation Authority restricts the number of visitors (with non-resident visas) that may fly into King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah and Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Airport in Medina. These restrictions apply to Muslim business visitors only from the beginning of September until Wednesday, September 23.

KAUST Government Affairs has been working with the Civil Aviation Authority to grant a special exemption for KAUST Muslim visitors to fly into KAIA in Jeddah.

To ensure smooth entry for visitors to Jeddah, Government Affairs will need information about all KAUST visitors. Please download this form and send it to mansour.alyousef@kaust.edu.sa.

This information should be forwarded to Government Affairs at least two days prior to arrival. This will ensure the information is passed on to the relevant government officials to facilitate smooth passage through airline check-in overseas and immigration in Jeddah.
